Concertgoers at the Lake Martin Amphitheater now have a new way to
purchase tickets.
Tickets to the Russell Lands Concert and Events Series can now be
purchased through Ticketmaster.
"Ticketmaster offers our patrons a convenience to purchase tickets at
home or anywhere you have access to a telephone or computer, up to
within a couple of hours of the event," said Blue Vardaman, with
Russell Lands.
As the amphitheater has grown in popularity, Vardaman said, patrons
come from as far away as Birmingham and Atlanta. Using Ticketmaster is
more convenient for these patrons, Vardaman said.
"And," Vardaman added, "tickets sold through Ticketmaster are
refundable if the event is cancelled for any reason."
Other events in the Russell Lands Concert and Events Series include
the Beach Music and Shag Concert on June 24; the Russell Lands Fourth
of July Celebration; and the Labor Day Concert on Sept. 3.
Vardaman said there will continue to be other events at the
amphitheater that are supported by Russell Lands and the Lake Martin
Arts Council, but that these events will determine their own ticket
pricing and distribution methods.
The first event for which Ticketmaster can be used is the Alabama
Symphony Orchestra's performance on Sunday, May 28. Tickets can be
purchased at www.ticketmaster.com, at Ticketmaster outlets such as
Publix supermarkets, or by calling 1-800-277-1700.
