Business First of Columbus - November 2006s |
A Bowling Green-area ticket broker has been convicted of failing to
deliver tickets for last year's Ohio State University vs. University
of Michigan football game.
The Ohio Attorney General's office said Thursday it received
complaints from 187 people that Mark West, of Fostoria, didn't have
the tickets to that game or to the Daytona 500 NASCAR race the people
had paid for via the Internet and then never received.
Most of the consumers that had filed complaints have been repaid.
West is prohibited from conducting any consumer transactions in Ohio
until he pays restitution of more than $20,000 to 28 consumers and
penalties of more than $50,000, according to the settlement.
His sentencing will be Dec. 1 |
